Join us for a morning of birding fun at Barr Lake State Park! This event, led by Bird Conservancy of the Rockies and bilingual instructors, will be an exciting opportunity for participants to observe birds up close through bird banding. Bird banding is a scientific method where birds are gently caught, fitted with small identification bands, and then released. This helps scientists track their migration patterns, population health, and behavior over time. It's a fantastic way to learn about conservation efforts and why protecting bird species is so important. Plus, it’s an unforgettable experience for kids as they get to see birds up close and contribute to real research!

In addition to bird banding, we’ll enjoy a nature hike and other fun activities designed to help families connect with nature. Don't forget your water bottle and be prepared for an adventure!
