We want each participant to have a fun and enriching experience, something they won't forget. Thinking about the differences in needs and likes, we have different camp options, with different characteristics that make them unique and special.
Campamentos Familiares: Invierno (Español)
BEGINNER
CAMP AT CAL-WOOD EDUCATION CENTER

Level: Beginner

Necessary equipment: blankets and pillows

Language: Spanish and English

Food included: 3 meals are included with each purchase, lunch on the first day is the responsibility of each individual

Entry to camp: 10:30am (15 min tolerance)

Arrival location: Calwood Education Center (in the lake parking lot)
This camp is ideal for beginner families without any previous experience or very basic experience.
In this camp, families will have fun like children while discovering the magic of winter in nature.

Families will stay in heated cabins and food is prepared by Cal-Wood's incredible kitchen.
At the end of this camp you will be given a guide with information on how to do outdoor activities in Colorado.
INTERMEDIATE
CAMP AT THE YMCA

Level: Intermediate

Required equipment: appropriate winter clothing and gear

Language: Spanish and English
-
Meals included: 3 meals are included with each purchase; lunch on the first day is the responsibility of each individual.
This camp is ideal for intermediate-level families who already have their own equipment and are looking to explore new public places that they can access individually.
In this camp, families will have fun like children while discovering the magic of winter in nature.

The location also offers additional activities not included in the price, such as:

Families will stay in a heated cabin, and the meals will be prepared collectively by all participants.
At the end of this camp, you will receive a manual with information on how to return to this incredible place on your own.
FOR ALL CAMPS
Cal-Wood has accident health insurance in case the family does not have their
own health insurance.
Note: Alcohol, drugs, or smoking are not permitted at any time during camp.
CAMP RULES:
1. During camp, if someone in the family shows symptoms of Covid-19, please return home as soon as possible and notify Cal-Wood staff.
2. Children must always be accompanied by an adult and
under supervision at all times.
3. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited.
4. Stay on the trails and paths around the camp to avoid stepping on the vegetation.
5. If you are going to hike or leave the camp site, please notify Cal-Wood staff
6. No driving on the property, except to the parking lot.
7. Always keep the camp clean to avoid animals.
8. Keep quiet after 9:30 pm and until 7:00 am out of respect for
other families.
9. If you borrowed equipment, please return it to the assigned
location.
10. Before leaving, please leave the cabin or campsite as clean as possible.
